Save Ferris

Another ska punk band. These guys are kind of essentials, even though they only released 3 records, all during the second half of the 90's. They were fronted by Monique Powell. They might not have been as energetic as Streetlight Manifesto, but they are probably the perfect chillax band for summer that you still can dance to. They were also featured in 10 Things I Hate About You.

Another thing; there is something about their bass player, Bill Uechi. He just seems so... cool! Always happy as fuck (not in this pic, though) and, you know, cool!

Streetlight Manifesto

This is one of my new favourite bands. I recently discovered ska punk, and even more recently I discovered Streetlight Manifesto, a 7-piece band from New Jersey full of happiness and energy. The lyrics are funny and personal, and the music makes me either want to dance or jump around, throwing my arms around like a fool.
These guys has been around since 2002, and from the beginning they only meant to make one record. Thank God they didn't stop there. They've had 4 full length releases so far, and there is one coming this year as well, I believe.
