Total Slacker

Two guys, a girl and Psychedelic-Noise pop in it's best form. That is Total Slacker (I really like to say the name loud, it has a good sound). Well, they're from Brooklyn, New York and started the band 2010. Umm, I'm to lazy to mention anything else. Just listen to their psych-pop and smile...

Museum Of Bellas Artes

A three piece band from Sweden. Where the music can be described as harmonious indie pop and light 70s disco mixed with cheerful synths in combination with flutes. The result can be compared as late summer, sun-bleached hair, ocean waves and the twitter of birds in the air. Listen and just dream away.

White Ring

Recently, I started listening to music in the Witch House scene. A style that is becoming more and more known. The duo "White Ring" (USA) is a band that is characteristic of the style. Their music is typical Witch House, darkwave, trance, ambient and lo-fi. The sound is very dark and it feels like a horror movie with muffled cries. And one imagines a dark cemetery where the fog is dense and little girls, with white nightgowns, creeps after you and just waiting to get their teeth into your flesh. The result may be that you get creepy chills all over your body. I really like the horrifying feeling, and the mysterious sound.

PENS

I have a crush for the slightly twisted pop that has gained a wide crowd. The trio "PENS" (from UK) is one of my crushes. The band involves the three girls Amelia, Stefania and Helena. Their music is colorful and loud with a wonderful mix of indie punk, noise pop, lo-fi, surf and thrash. You just can't hate them with their charming DIY beach punk music that is both simple, fun and expressive. They can be described as a mixture of "Vivian Girls" and "Wavves" which I wrote about earlier. 

Unfortunately, I think they've quit with their music. They wrote about it in their blog - about their last show and their thanks to everyone. A shame when they're really good and interesting.

Wavves

So this is my first post in the blog.
I will recommend a band that I really like because of their playful way to express themselves through music. Anyway, the music makes me really happy. They're called Wavves and is a lo-fi/surf/punk/noise pop band from California. They released their self-titled debut album in 2008. Right now, the band consists of three members; Nathan Williams, Stephen Pope and Billy Hayes. I actually saw them this summer at a music festival. They were totally awesome! Check them out!
