Ska'n'ska

Yeah, I'm alive and well. Last time I heard from Jasmine she was ill, though. Hope she'll get better. Anyway, I have a great deal of irons in the fire, if that is a functioning english metaphor. If it's not, well, then fuck me.

I'll have to get real early tomorrow, so I won't make a long post about them, which they really deserve. Let's put it like this: if the commuter wouldn't have been so narrow, I would have danced like a madman this afternoon. They can be found on Spotify, but since it has decided that it doesn't want to be my friend today, you'll have to find them for yourselves.

First Aid Kit

Let me introduce you to, First Aid Kit, the magical sisters Johanna and Klara from Sweden. First Aid Kit formed 2007 and has since then taken the world by storm, yesterday they released their second album, "The Lion's Roar". They create American inspired folk music that has its own breathing in an intensely beautiful dream. Their melody and lyrics are painfully familiar that exudes youthful strength and weaknesses. Their music is untouched and comes from a hidden place deep within, where the sound can embrace me . When I heard them for the first time a few years ago, I was mesmerized, they had enchanted me. I hope you will feel the same.

Eldkvarn

Ah, Eldkvarn. Why have I not blogged about you before? This is an old band, which is still active, and with after about 25 albums behind them, they're still good. It doesn't get better than this. Swedish music at it's best! There is so much I could tell you about this band that I don't know where to start. Most of the songs have a very nostalgic feel, and you can really tell how Plura, the main singer, is feeling. I can't really explain it; I'll just have you listen to them instead!

Witch Cult

Powerviolence band that made their debur release last year. They claim to all have gotten intruments by mistake, and just happened to start a band. I've never really "gotten" powerviolence before, but I kind of like this.

Blair Crimmins & The Hookers

Damn. This shit's really good. Fun and mostly really danceable. Some people call it nu-jazz, and I think that is a good lable. I don't know if they've released more, and since I'm kind of lazy, I don't care to find out right now.

Enslave

The blog's not dead, I promise. I can't speak for Jasmine, but I've been really busy the last few weeks. Haven't even had a chance to think about music to blog about.

Anyway, I've seen this a couple of times in the punk blogosphere, and it's not that bad, really. Japanese neocrust with a lot of energy.  It's nice.

Have A Nice Life

Okay, so I've seen people circlejerk the album Deathconciousness, and I finally decided to listen to it to see (or hear?) what the fuzz is all about.

It's magic. Magic made into music. Just... Just listen to it.
