Zombelle

Subdued, creepy sounds that will make you dream away. It's art.
Shan Beaste is the girl behind  Zombelle (which belongs to the Witch House scene) from LA.

Ke$ha

Yes, I am doing this. It's by the request of a friend. He had a discussion about Ke$ha with ours, in which he claimed that she is "a talented young woman". Well, she does have a pretty good voice. Then he discussed this discussion with me, and I agreed to blog about her, and now I am doing so.

Ke$ha is an American electro/dance-pop singer who has been active since 2005, but she didn't release her debut album until 2010. She has been featured on lots of other artist's songs and albums. Most of her own songs are about partying, having fun and not giving a fuck.

Museum Of Bellas Artes

A three piece band from Sweden. Where the music can be described as harmonious indie pop and light 70s disco mixed with cheerful synths in combination with flutes. The result can be compared as late summer, sun-bleached hair, ocean waves and the twitter of birds in the air. Listen and just dream away.

Sällskapet

Sällskapet consists of Hellberg, Ossler and Thåström (singer of Ebba Grön, Imperiet and Peace Love & Pitbulls). They worked on this in secret between '05 and '07, I think. I'd call this dark industrial-ambient, and some of the songs are instrumental. Over all, the album gives you this sad, nostalgic feeling. The lyrics are in Swedish and very personal, the way Thåström writes them nowadays. Something that you should listen to in the middle of the night. Also, on Järnstaden, Nina Ramsby is singing.

Crystal Castles

Crystal Castles are a Canadian band consisting of Ethan Kath and Alice Glass.
They play experimental electronic music with melancholy harmless or loud screams in the song. Really good!

Lykke Li

Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson (known by her stage name, Lykke Li). She is a Swedish artist who released her first EP "Little Bit" in 2007, which had some success. But it was not before she released her first album (in 2008), "Youth Novels" as she began to get a wider audience. Today she's known in many places around the world. She has worked with Röyksopp on their album Junior with the song "Miss it so much". And she wrote the song "Possibility" to the film New Moon (I like the song, but dislike the whole Twilight saga). She is an indie pop/electronic/soul musician.
I started listening to Lykke Li in early 2008. That summer I saw her live and I remember I was so excited about it. It was also that night I fell in love with her. Before, I liked her singing but now, I loved her voice, personality, dance and her so expressive, artistic approach to everything. I remeber that she stood there with  black draped clothes, messy hair and her tambourine. Sometimes she sang with her black-painted megaphone and the sound was so wonderful. And the way she dances, I have never seen anything like that. Her lyrics have special meanings and you can relate to many of them. Everything is so simple, yet beautiful. Overall, Lykke Li is an amazing artist and one of my favorites. She has inspired me in so many ways.

Fever Ray

If you ever have heard of the Swedish duo The Knife (which is a very good band) then you have probably heard of Karin Dreijer Andersson. In 2009, she released her solo album with the artist name Fever Ray. The music is a mixture of ambient, folk and electronic.

Karin has a fantastic unique voice that is spellbinding. Every time I hear it I get chills all over my body. It's like my whole world stops and I fills with so many thoughts and emotions. A great feeling. The lyrics are special in a strange and brilliant way, that really appeals to me. One attraction that I can't get enough of.
Therefore, Fever Ray is one of my great inspirations. She's really worth listening to.

She also makes beautiful videos and the song "When I grow up" is both my favorite song and video. Another song I like a lot is "Triangle Walks".
I saw her live last year and I became overwhelmed by the wonderful lighting show she gave us. It was just like in the video "Stranger than kindness", when they used a room with lamps that were lit on and off. It's really cool. You should check out all three videos
